Code for Good originates from the belief that artificial intelligence can be a force for good. Our journey began in 2019 when founders Koen Looijmans and Simon Lit started developing AI solutions for international companies. From the company World of Content, we built advanced AI models that helped multinationals optimize their processes and accelerate growth. This technological expertise and innovative approach led to European recognition in 2021: we were named by the appliedAI Institute for Europe (Germany), Hub France IA, Ignite Sweden, AI Sweden, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, and the Netherlands AI Coalition (NL AIC) as "one of the most promising AI startups in Europe."

In 2022, our previous software company was acquired by a German technology firm after a funding round of €70 million. As we continued to develop AI solutions, the realisation grew that technology can do more than maximise profit: it can contribute to structural progress. From that belief, we established Code for Good in 2024 with the same AI team, but with a new mission: to use technology to advance the world. Today, we are building AI solutions that strengthen the circular economy, increase efficiency, and help organisations make their impact tangible. With each project, we support our mission towards a world without waste.
